Just like a Princess.

Just like a Princess., a photo by nishal -- the lost soul on Flickr.

Got to shoot a Nikaah recently. And how truly I enjoyed it. Yes, for sure, the rituals and tradition were quite different, but it's wedding at the end of the day. Beautiful as always. All I had to do, was wait for the right moment to capture as events unfolded one after another.

The Princely Affair!

Finally, I am able to write this. Wow! Feels great. I am very expressive, and I like things to be that way -- for some reason unknown to me. So, ever since I returned after shooting this wedding -- with memories of the good times -- I have been wanting to write this post and share some photographs here. So, here you go!

I would like to name this album the Princely Affair. It indeed was.

Ever since I got to shoot this wedding, I have been longing to write this. It was such an enriching experience, that I really had to share with you all. At least the photographs, you know.

I was flooded with assignments in the month of May. Got to meet some lovely couple's, attend their wedding and shoot photographs. One such couple is Greeshma and Murli. Ah! What happiness to see them together. Even more, when I got the opportunity to do a pre-wedding shoot (it was post-wedding for them :)) in Coorg. I love the place, people... and food. So, I was greeted one more time with same love and affection just like the last time when I had been there a year ago.

This time I got to meet the bride's mother, father and son. Lived with them in their house. Had great food. The fish, particularly. As a token of love, I was even a bag-full of oranges and filter coffee from their own estate. Was reluctant initially but couldn't say 'no' either. While I am brewing the coffee in the kitchen, I thought it's time that I post some photographs from the collection.

Celebrate Love. Nothing more.

Meet Leslie and Jean. There is nothing fancy or artsy fartsy about these images, but what I adore seeing is just Leslie and Jean being together, beautiful and so complete. Thank you for inviting me and letting me be a part of such a wonderful day. Every moment was so special.

One Sunny Day.

A bright sunny day at Tamarind Tree. An outdoor shoot which I was looking forward to for a long time. Thanks to Dileep and Nirman to have given me this lovely opportunity to shoot their sister's wedding. Special thanks to my team -- Bakhtar and Kishan -- to have assisted me in this project. Had a great time shooting Prithvi and Avinash.

American metal band Lamb of God performs live in Bangalore

Termed to be one of the most popular metal bands in the world today, this Virginia-based metal band from the US performed for the second time in Bangalore on May 26, 2012.
It was a treat to the eyes of the metal fans who had thronged the place from across the country.
The gig gave metal fanatics a quick glimpse to a powerful performance of a heavy metal band. Their performance showed a lot technical-demanding riffs, licks, and death growls.

Get a glimpse of the concert here.
Shot for a music-based magazine called the Vibes from North East India.
